About Us
Pepper Hill Sauce Company is a husband-and-wife project built around a shared love of fermentation.
We met while working in the beer industry, where we developed a deep appreciation for what fermentation can do — not only the incredible flavors it creates, but its long history as one of the oldest ways people have preserved food.
That fascination eventually led us to start experimenting with fermented hot sauces in our own kitchen. Inspired by unexpected fruit pairings, international cuisines, and even cocktails, we began exploring how fermentation could bring high quality ingredients together into something both balanced and memorable.
What started as something we made just for ourselves quickly became a process we fell in love with. We began sharing bottles with friends and family, and before long people were asking if they could purchase some too.
Pepper Hill has grown slowly and organically ever since. Our goal is simple: to keep making thoughtful, fermentation-driven hot sauces and make them available to anyone who enjoys them as much as we do.
